Creating a Living Space for Your Havanese Puppy

When you get your new purebred Havanese puppy home, you’re going to want to make the transition as smooth as possible for him.  As with any creature, your Havanese puppy will need a place to call his own. This can be a simple task.  All you have to do is make sure that his food, water, bed and toys are in a common location, and that it doesn’t change too often.  Havanese puppies are creatures of habit and will like it much better if everything stays the same for them.

The first element of your Havanese pup’s home is place to lay his head.  Any soft surface will do, from an old pillow to a nice, expensive doggy bed.  You don’t have to spend a lot of money, but you can if you want.

Next, make sure you have separate dishes for his food and water.  You may want to keep them against the wall.  Small Havanese puppies can have a lot of energy.  It may help to keep the dish from sliding around as they eat.

Finally, you’re going to want to have some toys for your Havanese.  A small selection of chew toys and plushes will give him an outlet for his excess energy and keep him very happy.  The toys will undoubtedly get carried around and moved from place to place.  Make sure that you put them back and help your puppy to keep them in his area.  Again, having some constancy in his life will keep him satisfied.

87% of all dogs DIE way too early because of the food they are fed. Find out how to STOP this happening to your Havanese!

You’ll want to think carefully about the location for your puppy’s living area.  You don’t want it somewhere where your Havanese pup will be in your way all the time, but you want to make sure that he’s not tucked away in a back room where you can’t interact with him regularly.  Also, keep him away from disturbances like the washing machine or the television.  You want your puppy to be able to get some sleep when he wants to.

If you put a little thought into your new Havanese puppy’s home and make sure you have all your Havanese puppy supplies, he can be very happy with you.  Your Havanese puppy won’t ask a lot of you, but he will need you to take regular care of him, including giving him a spot to call his own.
